Resolution 2340 (Sudan and South Sudan) S/RES/2340

7 February 2017

On 7 February 2017 the UN Security Council adopted Resolution 2340 on Sudan and South Sudan. Resolution2340 reiterates that the government of Sudan bears the primary responsibility for protecting all populations within its territory. Resolution 2340 also extends the mandate of the Panel of Experts until 12 March 2018.
