The Lord’s Resistance Army and the Responsibility to Protect

This policy brief on the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) and the Responsibility to Protect provides an overview and analysis of the LRA and its risk to civilian populations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Sudan, and the Central African Republic. The Brief addresses previous atrocities committed by the LRA, remaining risks for civilian populations, and the response of the governments and the international community to those risks while applying the R2P lens to the situation.
