On 11 November Global Centre Program Manager and China expert Nadira Kourt spoke on a panel entitled “Protecting the Uighur: Responsibility to Protect in China” hosted by the Cambridge Centre for Geopolitics. Ms. Kourt’s remarks focused on the international community’s response to the situation in the Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region in China and how willing states and intergovernmental organizations around the world can be mobilized to ensure accountability for the alleged crimes against humanity and war crimes taking place.
