On 23 July 2021 Global Centre Senior Research Analyst, Juliette Paauwe, delivered a seminar on the responsibility to protect (R2P) and the situation in Cameroon. Ms. Paauwe’s seminar was hosted by the Southern Cameroons Women’s League (SCAWOL). During the discussion, Ms. Paauwe details what R2P is, how it applies to the situation in Cameroon, how R2P is “invoked” and if R2P can be used as a basis for self-defense.
