Statement delivered on behalf of the Group of Friends of the Responsibility to Protect at the special session of the Human Rights Council on the human rights situation in Myanmar

On 5 December 48 member states belonging to the Group of Friends of the Responsibility to Protect issued a joint statement during the UN Human Rights Council’s special session on Myanmar (Burma). The statement urged the Myanmar authorities to hold accountable those responsible for grave human rights violations and abuses in accordance with international law.
