Statement delivered by Croatia at the 2021 UN General Assembly Debate on R2P

On 17 May, during the UN General Assembly Debate on the Responsibility to Protect, Croatia delivered the following statement. During the statement the Permanent Representative of Croatia, Ambassador Ivan Šimonović, introduced a UN General Assembly Resolution on R2P (A/75/L.82) on behalf of the core group of countries, consisting of Belgium, Botswana, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Denmark, Guatemala, Luxembourg, Morocco, Qatar, Republic of Korea, Romania, Rwanda and Croatia, in addition to a list of 76 co-sponsors.
