Resolution 71/202 (DPRK) A/RES/71/202

On 19 December 2016 the UN General Assembly adopted Resolution 71/202 on the situation in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) by consensus (without a vote). Resolution 71/20 condemns the systematic, widespread and gross violations of human rights in the DPRK, including those that amount to crimes against humanity; encourages the UN Security Council to refer the situation to the International Criminal Court; and recalls that the DPRK government bears the responsibility to protect its population.
