Resolution 67/262 (Syria) A/RES/67/262

On 15 May 2013 the UN General Assembly adopted Resolution 67/262 on the situation in Syria. Resolution 67/262 expresses grave concern at the escalation of violence, condemning the rapidly increasing death toll, calls upon the Syrian authorities to meet their responsibility to protect the population, and supports a political transition through the establishment of the Syrian Opposition Coalition.

The resolution was passed with 107 votes in favor, 12 against, and 59 abstentions.
