Resolution
On 27 June 2014 the UN Human Rights Council adopted Resolution 26/23 on the situation in Syria. Resolution 26/23 condemns the continued gross, systematic and widespread violations of human rights and all violations of international humanitarian law by the Syrian authorities and affiliated militias, including actions that may amount to war crimes or crimes against humanity. The resolution also demands that the Syrian authorities meet their primary responsibility to protect Syrian populations.
