Resolution 2423 (Mali) S/RES/2423

18 June 2018

On 28 June 2018 the UN Security Council passed Resolution 2423 on the situation in Mali. Resolution 2423 extends the mandate of the UN peacekeeping Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) until 30 June 2019, maintaining the current troop ceiling. The resolution also “reiterates that the Malian authorities have the primary responsibility to protect civilians in Mali.”
