Resolution 2360 (DRC) S/RES/2360

On 21 June 2017 the UN Security Council passed Resolution 2360 on the situation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Resolution 2360 stresses the primary responsibility of the DRC authorities to protect populations in their territory from crimes against humanity and war crimes. The resolution also renews the sanctions regime until 1 July 2018 and extends the mandate of the Group of Experts until 1 August 2018. Furthermore the resolution also condemns the killing of civilians around Beni and in the Kasaï region, as well as the killings of two members of the UN Group of Experts.
