On 4 March 2021 Global Centre Executive Director, Dr. Simon Adams, was interviewed on BBC World News regarding developments in Myanmar following the 1 February military coup and subsequent violence on peaceful protestors. Dr. Adams highlighted how sanctions on Myanmar can be a useful tool to help pressure the military and how the international community can continue to apply that pressure on the generals responsible for both the genocide against the Rohingya and the killings of peaceful protestors.
