Resolution 2552 (Central African Republic) S/RES/2552

12 November 2020

On 12 November 2020 the United Nations Security Council adopted Resolution 2552 on the situation in the Central African Republic (CAR). The resolution extends the mandate of the UN Peacekeeping Mission in CAR until 15 November 2021. The resolution also recalls that “the CAR authorities have the primary responsibility to protect all populations in the CAR in particular from genocide, war crimes, ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity.”
