Resolution 23/26 (Syria) A/HRC/RES/23/26

14 June 2013

On 14 June 2013 the UN Human Rights Council passed Resolution 23/26 on the situation in Syria. Resolution 23/26 condemns all massacres and violence taking place, especially against civilians, and condemns the lack of cooperation of the Syrian government with the Commission of Inquiry (COI). The resolution also demands that the Syrian authorities cooperate fully with the COI, including by granting it immediate, full and unfettered access throughout the country, and demands that the Syrian authorities meet their responsibility to protect the Syrian population.
