Resolution 19/22 (Syria) A/HRC/RES/19/22

Pn 23 March 2012 the UN Human Rights Council adopted Resolution 19/22 on the Situation in Syria. Resolution 19/22 condemns the sharply escalating widespread, systematic and gross violations of human rights and fundamental freedoms perpetrated by the Syrian authorities, demands that the Syrian authorities meet their responsibility to protect their population and extends the mandate of the Commission of Inquiry (CoI).
