Resolution 71/130 (Syria) A/RES/71/130

On 9 December 2016 the UN General Assembly passed Resolution 71/130 on the situation in Syria. Resolution 71/30 reiterates that the Syrian authorities bear the primary responsibility to protect populations in their territory. The resolution also demands an immediate cessation of hostilities and compliance under international humanitarian and human rights law.
