Through its advocacy and publications the Global Centre for the Responsibility to Protect seeks to serve as a catalyst for preventing and halting mass atrocity crimes. The Global Centre for the Responsibility to Protect’s publications address issues related to mass atrocity prevention, populations at risk and the norm of the Responsibility to Protect. These publications provide policy-relevant research and strategic guidance to governments, UN officials and civil society activists on how to prevent or halt mass atrocity crimes.
To view official documents related to the norm’s development – including statements delivered by UN Member States and officials at the annual UN General Assembly debates and interactive dialogues on R2P – Media interviews with our staff, and other external resources on R2P, please refer to our R2P Resources Archive.
