Resolution S-15/1 (Libyan Arab Jamahiriya) A/HRC/RES/S-15/1

On 25 February 2011 the UN Human Rights Council adopted the following resolution, expressing deep concern at the situation in Libya, strongly condemning the recent gross and systematic human rights violations committed, including the indiscriminate armed attacks against civilians, extrajudicial killings, arbitrary arrests, detention and torture of peaceful demonstrators, some of which may also amount to crimes against humanity. The resolution strongly called upon the Libyan Government to meet its responsibility to
protect its population.
