Nigeria: Authorities Must Investigate Deaths of Boko Haram Suspects in Military Custody

On 16 October 2013 Amnesty International issued a Public Statement, revealing that over 950 people died in the first six months of 2013 in detention facilities in Nigeria used to detain suspected Boko Haram members or those believed to be associated with the group. Amnesty International called for monitoring of detention facilities and for urgent investigations into allegations of deaths.
