On 11 September 2013, UN member states participated in an informal interactive dialogue on the subject of "Responsibility to Protect:State Responsibility and Prevention.' The annual dialogue was informed by the UN Secretary-General's fifth Report on the Responsibility to Protect addressing the same theme.
Following presentations by a panel of UN, member state and civil society experts, interventions were delivered by 68 member states, 1 regional organization and 2 civil society organizations.
