Situation of human rights in Myanmar A/RES/72/248

On 24 December 2017 the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution on the Situation of human rights in Myanmar, calling on the authorities of Myanmar to end military operations against the Rohingya and to grant them full citizenship rights. The resolution also requested the UN Secretary-General to appoint a special envoy to the country. The resolution was adopted by a vote of 122 to 10 with 24 abstentions.
