In October 2014 the UN Office of the Special Advisers on the Prevention of Genocide and the Responsibility to Protect released the Framework of Analysis for Atrocity Crimes. The Framework provides a comprehensive list of risk indicators to better help the international community act early when to prevent atrocities. The Framework is broken down into two sets of risk factors: common risk factors that address concerns more broadly and specific risk factors which detail indicators specific to genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes.
