Resolution 2327 (South Sudan) S/RES/2327

On 16 December 2016 the UN Security Council adopted Resolution 2327 on South Sudan, extending the mandate of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan until 15 December 2017. The resolution also emphasized that the "Transitional Government of National Unity bears the primary responsibility to protect its population from genocide, war crimes, ethnic cleansing, and crimes against humanity."
