Invitation to "Operationalizing the Responsibility to Prevent"

Invitation to an event to analyse R2P's preventive agenda and outline steps that could be taken to enhance the effectiveness of preventive strategies and tools held on Friday, 17 June 2011, by the Global Centre for the Responsibility to Protect, the Oxford Institute for Ethics, Law and Armed Conflict and the Centre for International Studies, Oxford. Focus on both Côte d'Ivoire and Libya, which demonstrate that R2P was an important factor in the decision by the Security Council to respond in a "timely and decisive" manner to the spectre and evidence of mass atrocities.
